Don’t miss the album release show for Denver-based jazz drummer, Bobby Wiens, who put out his second record as a leader on March 31, 2026.

His follow-up to “Talking Drums” (Cellar Music, 2020) takes a slight detour conceptually from his debut record, but in a way that undoubtedly highlights his growth as an artist.

He is joined by Gabe Mervine on trumpet, Tom Amend on piano and keyboards, and Seth Lewis on bass. The sound this band creates together is exceptional and quite unique as they explore a wide range of musical landscapes… You’ll hear some of Wiens’ most prominent musical references and inspirations throughout this performance, all wrapped into his own cohesive and eclectic compositional approach.
